This august, I travelled with my family to French Polynesia, a collection of around one hundred islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean belonging to France. French Polynesia is definitely by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. We mainly next to the island of Taha’a, but also visited the main island of Tahiti. Taha’a only has a population of 5000, and is very much untouched with stray dogs and chickens roaming the streets. It’s known as the Vanilla island, as it is the main producer of vanilla in French Polynesia – we visited a vanilla farm, as well as a pearl farm while we were there. Although the capital city Papeete (in Tahiti) is definitely more modern, it is still undoubtedly charming. One of the perks of being consistently jetlagged during this trip was that waking up every day at 5:30am meant that we got to see some of the most beautiful and vibrant sunrises I have ever seen.
